Depth Proves Too Much for Dallas

The Boston Celtics took a 1-0 series lead over the Dallas Mavericks in Game 1 of the NBA Western Conference Finals on Tuesday night. Despite a brief surge from the Mavericks in the second half, the Celtics' depth and balanced attack proved to be too much for Dallas.

Jayson Tatum led the way for the Celtics with 29 points and 12 rebounds, followed by Jaylen Brown with 21 points and Marcus Smart with 20 points. Luka Dončić paced the Mavericks with 30 points and 12 rebounds, but he received little help from his supporting cast.

The Celtics' bench outscored the Mavericks' bench by a staggering 43-20 margin. Grant Williams, Derrick White, and Payton Pritchard all made significant contributions for Boston.

The Mavericks will look to even the series when they host the Celtics in Game 2 on Thursday night.
